Member for Mulgoa Tanya Davies MP yesterday visited St Narsai Assyrian Christian College to uncover the new school zone flashing lights and present an Australian flag for the College.
Tanya Davies MP presented the Australian flag to Principal Edwar Dinkha and student leaders to fly at the new College. St Narsai Assyrian Christian College officially opened at the beginning of this year.
“It was a pleasure to return to St Narsai Assyrian Christian College to present them with an Australian flag and unveil the school zone flashing lights” Tanya Davies said.
“Across the state the NSW Government has ensured that every school has at least one set of school zone flashing lights to warn motorists when they are about to enter a 40km/h school zone.”
“School zones help protect our children on their way to and from school. Flashing lights are the most effective tool we have to slow down motorist near schools.”
St Narsai Assyrian Christian College Principal, Edwar Dinkha, thanked Tanya Davies MP for her ongoing support for the College community.
“We were honoured to receive the Australian flag. The flag is now flying proudly over our campus,” Mr Dinkha said.
“The school zone flashing lights provide great reassurance to the College community. They will no doubt assist in keeping members of the school community safe.”
