Member for Mulgoa, Tanya Davies and Minister for Disability Services, Ray Williams announced Anowah Community Living Inc will receive $10,000 to support with purchasing solar power batteries.
Mrs Davies said the NSW Liberals & Nationals Government is proud to support local organisations delivering important services to people with disability.
“This funding will support Anowah purchase efficient solar power systems,” Mrs Davies said.
“It has been wonderful meeting with the group’s staff and clients to see how local people with disability are being supported to live independently and participate in the community.”
Mrs Carole Turnbull said the organisation aims to support people with intellectual disability increase their independence and quality of life.
“We are grateful for the NSW Government support to purchase an effective solar power battery. This will allow us to continue to deliver efficient services to our clients,” Mrs Carole Turnbull said.
Mr Williams said clients supported by Anowah Community Living Inc. have successfully transitioned to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
“I’m proud to support Anowah Community Living Inc who deliver great services to local people with intellectual disability,” Mr Williams said.
“The NSW Government is contributing more than $3.2 billion to the NDIS, which gives people with disability have choice and control over their supports. More than 95,000 people with disability are already benefitting from the Scheme in NSW.”
Anowah Community Living Inc has been supporting people with intellectual disability for over 50 years and currently offer a range of supported accommodation and community access day services.
