2017 COMMUNITY BUILDING PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM

Member for Mulgoa, Tanya Davies MP has announced that a total of $300,000 has been secured in grant funding to support 11 local projects as part of the NSW Government’s 2017 Community Building Partnership (CBP) program.

The NSW Government has committed funds to new community infrastructure projects that will enhance much needed local facilities.The funding aims to create more vibrant and inclusive communities and deliver positive social, environmental and recreational outcomes.

“This grassroots funding will directly benefit our community and will deliver vital new infrastructure and help pay for much-needed improvements to local sports facilities, parks and clubs,” Tanya Davies said.

“I would like to congratulate all those organisations that were successful in their application and is pleased this funding will help community groups make a positive difference in our local area,” Tanya Davies said.

The successful Projects in the Mulgoa electorate for 2017 are:

  • Nepean Food Services Inc. for the Installation of driveway, layback, vehicle crossing, fencing and gates- $15,000
  • The Trustee for Anglican Church Diocese of Sydney Community Building Partnership Grant Fund for a sound mixing desk for community events- $13,779
  • Mulgoa Valley Fc for the construction of Gow Park storage and awning building- $73,601
  • Penrith City Softball Association for the upgrade of softball floodlights- $50,000
  • Colyton/St Clair Little Athletics for the upgrade and repair to the Western Field long jump pit- $13,655
  • Nepean District Christian Education Association for a school and community kitchen- $3,000
  • Penrith Golf & Recreation Club for the repair and replacement of a security fence- $4,965
  • Warragamba/Silverdale Neighbourhood Centre for a disability access ramp and outdoor inclusive play space and educator office space- $6,000
  • St Clair and District Men’s shed for the first stage of a shed suitable for men’s shed work- $35,000
  • Anglican Property Trust Diocese of Sydney for the repair of the community car park at the St Clair Anglican Church- $40,000
  • Glenmore Park Cricket Club for cricket nets- $45,000
