NSW motorists are benefitting from the NSW Government’s CTP reform with a number of insurers dropping their ‘best market price’ for Sydney passenger vehicles below $600.
Member for Mulgoa Tanya Davies is seeing first-hand the benefits of the NSW Government’s CTP reform in the Mulgoa community. Local constituent Mr Santino Sabato said, “I will be saving on average $150 to $200 on my CTP from 1 July, which savings will help to go towards buying a family home”.
Minister for Finance, Services and Property Victor Dominello said "apart from a brief reprieve in 2007, average Green Slip prices have gone up year on year since 1999. Since 2008 they have risen by 80 per cent". The NSW Government has worked hard to deliver green slip reform that is delivering savings to households.
Sydney passenger vehicle owners will see reductions of $180 on the average premium and country drivers will see a decrease of around $50. Taxis owners will also see a 40 per cent decrease on the average premium.
"Mr Sabato has more money in his back pocket as a result of the NSW Government's Green Slip reform. I would encourage everyone to compare Green Slips prices prior to their renewal because competition is critical to bringing down prices", Tanya Davies said.
