Member for Mulgoa, Tanya Davies MP announced the start of Youth Week 2018.
NSW Youth Week is an annual celebration of young people across the State and this years theme is “Unity Through Diversity."
Tanya Davies said he was pleased young people in Mulgoa had participated in arranging local events.
“Our young people are some of the most dedicated and committed members of our community,” Tanya Davies said.
“National Youth Week 2018 is a chance to take a moment and celebrate what they do.”
Mr Williams said thousands of youth have been involved in organising activities including photography exhibitions, writing competitions and hip-hop dance classes.
“NSW Youth Week offers young people an opportunity to connect with both their peers and their local community,” Minister Williams said.
The NSW Government provides over $240,000 in matched funding to local councils across the State to support locally led community events.
