This week, as the world marks International Women’s Day, Member for Mulgoa Tanya Davies has met with and congratulated local resident Julieta Legaspi, who was a finalist in the 2015 Premier’s Awards for Public Service.
The Premier’s Awards recognise excellence in service delivery to the people of NSW.
“I applaud the hard work and commitment of Julieta for her service to her community and agency,” Tanya Davies said.
“NSW has the largest and highest performing state public sector workforce in Australia so for Julieta to be recognised for going above and beyond is a huge honour,” said Tanya Davies.
Ms Legaspi was a finalist in the category Making NSW a better place to live. She was recognised for her work with Transport for NSW in developing and implementing an effective training tool called ‘Economic Appraisal Online Training Modules’, a multi-faced approach to considering the impact of transport projects in project assessments.
“The NSW Government thanks our public sector agencies, employees and private and non-government partners for their work and dedication to service the people of NSW. People like Julieta are working hard to enhance our environment and the development of infrastructure in NSW, which has a huge impact on our daily lives,” Tanya Davies said.
The 2015 categories in the Premier’s Awards reflect the current State Priorities, aimed at improving services, infrastructure, the economy and safety of NSW.
The 2015 Awards recognised seven individuals, six organisations and their partners from the private and non-government sectors. This year’s ceremony for the Premier’s Awards for Public Service was held late last year at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
Congratulations also to all the hardworking, selfless and talented women in Mulgoa and across the State.
