A NSW Government community forum on domestic and family violence, hosted by Member for Mulgoa Tanya Davies MP, will be held on Wednesday 19 July 2017 with local residents invited to attend.
Ms Davies is delighted the Minister for the Prevention of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault Pru Goward will attend the forum along with experts from NSW Police, the Department of Family and Community Services and non-government service providers in the Mulgoa community.
“Forums such as these are a great opportunity for local residents to gain insights about the issue, and talk to domestic and family violence experts on the frontline,” Ms Goward said.
Ms Davies said “I encourage as many members of the Mulgoa community to attend this forum to discuss this crucial issue facing our community.
“This is a great way to empower our community to have a voice on the issue and contribute to the government’s work of tackling domestic violence.”
The NSW Government continues to lead the nation in specialist domestic and family violence initiatives with more than $350 million over four years to provide greater protection for women, children and men. This is in addition to the investment the Government makes each year to combat the scourge of domestic and family violence through mainstream services in justice, police, health, child protection, social housing and homelessness services
The Mulgoa domestic and family violence community forum will be held at 6 pm on Wednesday 19 July 2017 at the Twin Creeks Golf & Country Club. To attend this forum, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
