Member for Mulgoa, Tanya Davies MP has congratulated four sporting organisations from across the Mulgoa electorate upon receiving grants administered under the Local Sport Grants Program.
The aim of the Local Sport Grants Program is to increase regular and on-going participation opportunities in sport and active recreation.
“The very essence of this program is to recognise the undeniable talent and dedication emerging from local sporting organisations, as well as ensuring that the next generation of Australian sporting representatives are supported and fostered throughout their endeavours as grassroots athletes,” Tanya Davies said.
Four clubs from across Mulgoa will benefit from a massive funding boost for vital club activities from essential training to equipment to new uniforms:
“As many of the local sporting clubs in Mulgoa are largely ran by volunteers, the allocation of these local sports grants are critical to boosting infrastructure, programs and services to increase on-going participation in sport at a local level,” Tanya Davies said.
