The Mulgoa area will welcome a new firefighter today following last Friday’s Fire & Rescue NSW’s graduation ceremony.
Member for Mulgoa, Tanya Davies MP congratulated the community’s new recruit on graduating and thanked them for their commitment to serve and protect the people of NSW.
“I would like to welcome Regentville RFNSW’s newest firefighter, Joseph Griffin, to our community, and extend our gratitude to him for devoting his career to such an honourable cause,” Tanya Davies said.
“Graduates have proven themselves able to meet the challenges of the job, from firefighting and providing advanced first aid, to responding to road‑crashes, fire science and what to do around hazardous materials.
“First responders face extremely challenging situations on a daily basis. Our firefighters need great physical and emotional fortitude, so I’m very pleased that our community will benefit from the enthusiasm of the latest FRNSW class.”
The men and women who took attestations at the graduation ceremony will join more than 620 individuals who have joined Fire & Rescue NSW as permanent firefighters since 2011.
