State Member for Mulgoa, Tanya Davies MP today announced essential road works will start on Monday 19 January 2015 to remove the existing concrete medians to extend the northbound and southbound right-turn lanes from Mamre Road onto the M4 Motorway on-ramps.
“The NSW Government has fully funded this $525,000 project as part of the $265 million Pinch Point Program, which aims to reduce delays and manage congestion on Sydney’s main roads, as well as improve road safety for all road users” Tanya Davies said.
This work will be carried out between 8pm to 5am from Monday 19 January to Friday 13 March, excluding Saturdays, weather permitting.
A map has been provided below to help explain this work.
Lane closures will be in place while the work is carried out to ensure safety of road users and workers. Road users are asked to follow the direction of traffic controllers, adhere to reduced speed limits and follow traffic signs.
There will be some noise associated with this work, but every effort will be made to minimise the impact on residents and businesses.
There will be temporary changes to street parking during this work. Equipment may be parked on side streets during the day, making this parking unavailable at times.
Up to date information, including any date changes and detours will be displayed on electronic message signs along the road.
