The NSW Government is funding this essential maintenance work under its $1.5 billion program to maintain and improve the 18,028 kilometre state road network.

Roads and Maritime Services will be removing and replacing asphalt on Park Road, between The Northern Road and William Street. Attached is a map to show the location of the work.

Road and Maritime Services maintenance work aim to prevent or minimise damage to roads from weather and wear and tear to make them safer, provide consistent driving conditions and reduce maintenance costs in the long term.

Work schedule

Roads and Maritime Services will be on site for 22 night shifts between Tuesday 28 November and Thursday 25 January, excluding public holidays, weather permitting.  Work hours will be between 9pm and 5am from Sunday to Friday.

If you have any questions or concerns about the night work schedule, please send your comments to Roads and Maritime Services delivery partner by Tuesday 14 November at enquiries_nsw@dmroads.com.au or:

How will the work affect you?

Roads and Maritime Services work may be noisy at times but will do everything to minimise its impact, including completing noisier tasks by 11pm.

Access to some homes may be affected during shift hours but traffic controllers will be on hand to make sure you can enter and leave as required.

Traffic changes

There will be temporary traffic changes during work hours to ensure the work zone is safe.

Lane closures will be in place and may affect travel times. Please keep to speed limits and follow signs and traffic controllers’ directions. For the latest traffic updates, you can call 132 701, visit livetraffic.com or download the Live Traffic NSW App.
