Tanya Davies MP and Penrith Mayor, Mark Davies recently announced that the indoor riding arena at Nepean Riding for the Disabled Association will get a $46,000 upgrade. The NSW Government’s Community Building Partnership program has provided $45,468 with Penrith City Council agreeing to fund the rest.
Association President, Narelle O’Kell said the grant will go towards resurfacing their main arena facility which has been in operation for over 20 years.
“The cost of resurfacing this indoor riding arena could never have been met without the grant” Ms O’Kell said.
Ms O’Kell said that the Club will start the work as soon as possible, and should be completed by end of the year.
The Club is located in Orchard Hills and is run by about 30 volunteers and currently provides support to 38 people currently, who are living with a disability.
