Victor Dominello, NSW Minister for Veterans Affairs and Tanya Davies, State MP for Mulgoa, this week visited the Nepean Wives of Vietnam Veterans Women’s Support Group to present them with a grant for $500.
The Nepean Wives of Vietnam Veterans Women’s Support Group is a non-profit organisation supporting the welfare of partners of Vietnam Veterans with war related disabilities. The support group will be celebrating its 15th anniversary in November and the grant will provide the financial boost to make the event a memorable occasion.
“I was delighted to be able to provide $500 to assist the Nepean Wives of Vietnam Veteran’s group to assist with meeting the cost of their 15th Anniversary Function in November” said Minister Dominello.
“I want to thank Tanya Davies who brought this worthy cause to my attention. Once Tanya had raised the matter with me I was only too happy to provide this assistance” Minister Dominello said.
The support that this group of dedicated women has offered to partners of Vietnam Veterans with war related disabilities over the past 15 years has been of invaluable benefit and comfort. The Support Group number currently stands at 45.
“We trust that this $500 grant will provide the necessary financial support for the Women’s Support Group to celebrate a memorable 15th anniversary” said Tanya Davies.
“The work that our veterans do in our local communities is so vital, and the Nepean Wives of Vietnam Veterans Women’s Support Group is a great example of the important community service that these groups provide” said Minister Dominello.
