Member for Mulgoa, Tanya Davies MP has congratulated the St Clair Hawks Cricket Club upon receiving a grant worth $6,000 administered under the NSW Government’s 2016 Community Building Partnership Program to fund the purchase of all-weather marquees.
“The very essence of the Community Building Partnership Program is to support projects that encourage growth and development in our community,” Tanya Davies said.
Tanya Davies was joined by Club President Natalie Bradbury and Coaching Coordinator Jarred Hodges, at St Marys Leagues Club where the cheque was presented.
“The allocation of this grant to the St Clair Hawks Cricket Club highlights the ongoing commitment of the NSW Government in ensuring that positive social, environmental and recreational outcomes are delivered to all,” Tanya Davies said.
In particular, the $6,000 will be used by the club to purchase 2 customised marquees to be used at club and community events for weather protection.
“As many of the local sporting organisations are run by volunteers from the community, I look forward to seeing this grant make a real impact not only for the St Clair Hawks Cricket Club but the Mulgoa community also,” Tanya Davies said.
