Tanya Davies today met with concerned residents from St Clair and Erskine Park to welcome the Department of Planning’s recommendation to refuse the proposed incinerator and urge the community to voice their opposition to the proposed waste facility at Eastern Creek.
“From day one I have been wholeheartedly opposed to the proposed incinerator. I have talked to many residents over this time and the message is clear – the incinerator is not welcome in our backyard,” said Tanya Davies.
“Serious health concerns have still not been addressed and I welcome the Department of Planning’s refusal to recommend this ridiculous proposal.”
“We need to make sure the incinerator is stopped once and for all.”
“As your local Member I will be at the Independent Planning Commission (IPC) public meeting to express my unwavering opposition to the proposed incinerator and I ask you to join me in doing the same.”
The Independent Planning Commission has given notice that a public meeting will be held for the community to voice their concerns before the independent panel makes their final decision.
The Independent Planning Commission’s public meeting will take place at:
Date: Monday 14 May 2018
Venue: Rooty Hill RSL
55 Sherbrooke Street
Rooty Hill NSW 2766
“I look forward to seeing many more members of the community at the public meeting so that together we can continue our fight to make the sure the proposed incinerator at Eastern Creek is stopped for good,” said Tanya Davies.
