The Hon. Mike Baird, NSW Treasurer, and Tanya Davies MP, Member for Mulgoa, today jointly presented Life Education NSW with a grant for $28,000 as part of the NSW Government’s Community Building Partnerships Program for 2012.
The grant will assist with the upgrade of classrooms used to deliver life education classes at Life Education Colyton facilities. The Colyton centre provides and coordinates educational support to students from 1400 schools annually across NSW.
The Hon. Mike Baird, used the occasion to announce that applications for the 2013 Community Building Partnership Grants Program are now open and community organisations are encouraged to submit their applications.
“Much of the work done in these community organisations is on voluntary basis so every dollar counts. These grants provide some assistance to help them to continue this valuable work across our communities," Mr Baird said.
Tanya Davies, the Member for Mulgoa today urged community organisations in Mulgoa to take advantage of the 2013 Community Building Partnerships Grants Program offered by the NSW Government.
