Member for Mulgoa, Tanya Davies MP today met with Wallacia residents who are fed up with loud trucks using Park Road, Wallacia late at night and early in the morning. 02 4677 1100 or to Council@Wollondilly.nsw.gov.au.
Mrs Davis said many residents had contacted her office to complain about being kept awake by trucks travelling on Park Road in the middle of the night.
"I have had reports of b-doubles and other trucks using Park Road 24 hours a day. It is completely unfair to the residents to expect them to live with this." Mrs Davies said.
Mrs Davies said that following the complaints, she wrote to every resident of Park Road and encouraged them to report each incidence of trucks at inappropriate hours to Wollondilly Shire Council.
"I recently met with the Acting General Manager of Wollondilly Shire Council to discuss the concerns. He informed me that there has been a significant increase in the number of reports in the last 6 months –so the community has done a great job reporting each incident".
"Wollondilly Shire Council have requested that residents continue to report every time a truck uses Park Road late at night."
